When I Am Tempted To Use Worksheet
Worksheet updated on October 7th, 2019
When working with clients in recovery from substance use it is important for both the counselor and the client to understand where their temptations stem from. Everyone will have different moments of temptation, and it is not uncommon for a client to be confronted with temptation when they least expect it.
Temptations are very difficult for a client in recovery to resist. It takes a lot of strength and willpower. It can also be helpful to have a plan in place in the event that the client is tempted to use. With a plan, the client is less likely to surrender to temptation, because they will know what to do to remove themselves from the tempting situation.
