Anger Iceberg Worksheet

When people are angry, they are not only angry. Their anger is a reaction to a trigger. A trigger occurs in a person’s environment, but it is fueled by much more.

Feelings, thoughts, insecurities, fears and memories all contribute to a person’s anger. It is important for a client to understand this fact. Clients rarely understand the true source of their anger, but if they can learn how to trace their anger to the source, they can learn how to make their anger feel less intense.

A great way to help a client understand this concept is by using the visual aid of an Anger Iceberg.
